These forests are usually cut down for monetary profit, causing many problems with our environment and affecting the equilibrium of our planet.
The deforestation not only increases the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere (trees absorb these gases), leading to a higher risk of global warming, but it also causes may environmental problems such as soil erosion and climate change.
